The Addams Family Auditions - Sept 4th & 5th

We hope you will audition for our fall musical – THE ADDAMS FAMILY.  This new, fun show will have a place for everyone that wants to be involved, and the casting allows for a mix-up of talent that will allow a variety of students to be highlighted. There are rich stylized characters, fan-favorite ensemble numbers, and another fresh-from-Broadway-opportunity. Opening Halloween weekend provides for some twists and tie-ins that will pull in strong crowds and appeal to a variety of audiences. We have scheduled a late “come-in-costume” performance Friday, October 31st, following the home football game, where our cast will perform “Thriller” at Halftime with McLean HS’s award-wining band. ADDAMS FAMILY is a great first show opportunity to get everyone involved and to grow while being part of the creepy-cool fun!

If you aren't interested in performing, we would love to have you on our tech crew! Please email mcleandrama@gmail.com with your interest.

Performance Dates:  October 30-November 9, 2014

Show Information:  THE ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story, and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Show Information:  BIG FISH is a new Broadway musical featuring music and lyrics by Tony nominee Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family, The Wild Party) and a new book by esteemed screenwriter John August (Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).  Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH centers on Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some! Edward's incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales.  Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, BIG FISH is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre – for an experience that's richer, funnier and BIGGER than life itself.
